DISRUPT is a brand new digital arts festival taking place 8-9 July 2021. The event will explore how the performing arts has supported communities during the pandemic and how a year of uncertainty and change has encouraged new and radical ways of working. It’s time to unlearn, rethink and restructure.

Handsworth Association of Schools

We are a charitable network of over 20 schools which works in partnership with, and for, our community for the benefit of children and young people. We exist to improve the life chances, education, health, well-being and social integration of economically disadvantaged, multi-ethnic families in Birmingham. We provide a range of learning activities and enriching extracurricular opportunities for children and young people.

Our mission is to promote youth inclusion and family wellbeing advancement through the delivery of enjoyable, creative, and effective projects and services. Headteachers from member schools work alongside local residents, project participants, partner organisations and volunteers to achieve this together. We work predominantly with BAME families experiencing high levels of poverty, low incomes and high unemployment in areas with high crime rates and poor rates of health.
